Guess where we were Friday night.
Starts with Fenway. Ends with Park.
Boston Red Sox game!!
We saw the Red Sox play the Texas Rangers (and lose to the Rangers; bummer).
We were going to be in Boston for less than 24 hours at the tail-end of our trip to Maine (more to come on that) and decided last-minute to get tickets to the game.
I can barely stand to watch any kind of sport, live or on TV. But there's something about professional baseball live that gets me a little giddy. I've been to 3 stadiums now (Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium and San Francisco Giants at Candlestick Park). Apparently Fenway Park is the Mecca for serious baseball fans. We attended the 700th consecutive sold-out game there and received a baseball on our way out. Cool.
Here's a random shot of us with our friends. Only one person is actually watching the game. It would have been a lot more fun if we didn't have our kids with us.
Ethan and his friend Ray with the Green Monster (left field wall) in the background.
We all bought a little schwag even though we're not die-hard fans. Perhaps we'll become such.
We had such a great time, in spite of the T ride home with 20,000 Sox fans at 11:00pm.
