The Farmers have been rockin' some good looks lately.
Here's a peek at our exceptional style:
He dresses himself. "Look, Mom. Everything matches! Even my socks have stripes!"
Landon sent him to a birthday party dressed like this. "He's 5, Amy."
Perhaps I should only buy striped shirts so my kids can dress themselves without running into this fiasco.
Ethan was wearing this chain after school one day last week.
At dinner, Landon asked if he'd ever seen "Jersey Shore".
Ethan said he found it on the playground at recess.
And every pair of jeans, but one, has a hole in the knee. I'm just trying to hold out until shorts weather.
(By the way, I could do a whole blog post about the stuff Ethan finds: $1 bills at the library and in the school parking lot under our car and on the sidewalk; small toys; coins everywhere; and a $20 bill on the grass at school.)
When we were in Hawaii last year, my cousin (who lives on the north shore of Oahu) told us to eat coconut shrimp in the little village of Kahuku (which, by the way, if you've just read Unbroken, you'll remember that Louis Zamperini was stationed at the Kahuku air base). Well, we ate coconut shrimp and we loved it and we asked if they sold t-shirts. Landon likes to collect obscure tees from places we've been. They didn't have t-shirts for sale last January, but then just a few months ago, my cousin emailed me to tell me that the Kahuku Grill had t-shirts! She was going to get us one and mail it. It turns out that my friend (and Henry's preschool teacher) and her family were going to Oahu and they said they would get us one. Landon is thrilled! Now he and my friend's husband, Patrick, have matching tees.
The only thing that's missing from the graphic is the chickens that run around your table.
And the last outfit goes to Ethan for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln for his book report. Shout out to the Davenports for having a kid goofy enough to want to be Abe Lincoln for Halloween so we could borrow the costume.

William is always coming home from school with stuff that he "finds" and treats that other kids "give" him. I keep waiting for a call from the teacher to say that my kid is shaking down all the other kindergarteners for their fruit snacks!
