God Bless America

Another great 4th of July chronicled in pictures:

Waiting in line for breakfast.

Waiting for the parade to start.

When the fire truck turns its water cannon on Stratford Avenue, it makes me ridiculously happy.
Ethan, too.

Here's Landon flying his remote-control helicopter at the Williams' house.

And here's our friend Grant and Joni flying Grant's helicopter.
Once a boy, always a boy.

Hanging at Joni's house, my boys couldn't be happier.
When your 8-year-old says his favorite holiday is the 4th of July, "even before Christmas or my birthday", then you know it's a fantastic day.

In the parade!

Please note the neighborhood mascot, Paul behind Henry.
American Indian costumes are patriotic, no?
