Food for the Soul

Jenni, Amy, Molly, Amanda

I first met Amanda in the summer of 2003.  I think I've seen her 2 other times.  She lives far away.  But I feel connected to her through blogs, mutual friends, messages on Facebook and other ways that make me feel like we're best friends.  She was in town this summer and we met for lunch.  Women friends feed my soul in ways I can't get anywhere else.  I have lovely, funny, creative, understanding and necessary friends (obviously not all of them are pictured here.)

I met Molly in 2002 (is that right, Molls?  when did you move here?) when she moved into my ward.  She had the cutest hair and I told her so.  We've been close, close friends ever since.  Even though she's since moved from my neighborhood, I can't get enough Molly-time.  Case in point:  we talked on the phone yesterday for 101 minutes.  And then she stopped by to pick something up from me later and we talked for about another hour.

I met Jenni in 1998 when she married a guy in our ward.  She started a book group and invited me to join.  We've been close, close friends ever since.  Even though she's since moved from my neighborhood and my book group, we still talk and text every week.  Our families don't know what it it's like to travel without each other.

I love these friends and many more not pictured.  They enrich me on so many levels.  Seriously, what do women do without each other?

Tears in my eyes. Love you girls so much, too! Life would be DULL without you all. Hopefully one of these days, my kids will learn how TO travel with you guys!

Have fun in Mehico!

xoxo
