Fathers

We don't usually make a big deal out of Mother's Day or Father's Day around our house, by mutual agreement. But having been sick the last few days, I am acutely aware of how grateful I am to have Landon as a spouse and as the father of my boys. Why we Have Dads: A tribute:

Dads are always up for taking kids down scary waterslides. If I were a single mom, I'd have to find an uncle to do this job.

Our dad can throw parachute guys in the front yard way higher than mom can. And he can throw 4 at a time. Cool.

At the beach, Dad will build a sandcastle with the kids instead of reading a book and telling the kids to go dig by themselves.

Moms never, never want to wrestle. Thank goodness we have a dad that loves it.

This is what our yard looks like as Landon mows the lawn: 2 little baby ducklings following in his footsteps; I hope they always do.
This totally tugs at my heart.

The lawn mowing picture is absolutely priceless. Should be framed in your home.

Are you better? Are you guys coming tonight?

I agree with Annie. That picture is so sweet. And just think, in a year or two, they can be doing it themselves. It's worked pretty well at our house. They don't even complain that much anymore.
