Landon had the wild hair to introduce our boys to their first rodeo. We're not particularly spontaneous people and pulling the trigger to buy tickets within a day of this wild hair was totally out of character. Monday found us at the Days of '47 rodeo hanging out with a whole new demographic. I'm fascinated by really great horses and, of course, great horsemanship. If I had a zillion dollars I would own horses.
The steer (or "animal athletes" as they were referred to in the opening prayer) wear protective headgear.
I know rodeos aren't the most popular events among certain groups of people, but they are darn fun. I'd love to go to a small-town rodeo next year. As I said to Landon, "There's just something about a guy on a horse."
